As I was sneaking through the businesses of Lai Grove to gather intel, a new murder case flagged up. I then got shot by the building’s automated security systems, and I had to escape whilst bleeding out.
By the time I got to the scene of the crime at 502 Wolfe Terrace, the enforcers had already sealed off the area. I scanned the front door. I found four sets of fingerprints. One of them belonged to Julieta Medina, another I recognised as belonging to a person named Jelani Osabutey, and another belonging to Akello Bah. The other one I had zero clue on.
With the enforcer’s back turned, I quickly entered the premises to see what else I could find.
Julieta Medina was found dead in one of the bedrooms. The words “PUT A PIN IN IT” written on the wall. A business card laid on its side read out the following words:
DIDN’T HAVE WHAT IT TAKES
PUT A PIN IN IT
THEY MUST EARN MY RESPECT
She was slashed to death by a bladed weapon between the times of 19:30 – 20:45. Many drawers and wardrobes were wide open, containing the fingerprints of Julieta and Akello Bah.
In the kitchen area, her wallet was on the counter, and her work ID was next to it. She worked at Midnight Technologies at Lai Grove. Interesting. I was in their office earlier that day.
In the other bedroom, I saw Julieta’s business card, and also that of Akello Bah’s. The tenancy agreements were in this room, where I learned that Akello Bah lives with the victim. That explains why his fingerprints were found everywhere, but that does not clear him of the crime.
Before I went to bed, I decided to check out the security footage. The worker in there was just leaving, so I quickly went into the office to check it out. The only people caught on camera outside the apartment were the two enforcers that arrived after the crime had been committed. I recognised Maite Ramirez and Joel McKenzie in the photo. I didn’t believe they killed Julieta, but I kept record of them just in case.
I returned home to sleep and start fresh for the next day.
After checking the city directory and learning Jelani Osabutey lived in 402 Pederson House, I broke into his apartment, where I saw him asleep. I found his ID in his wallet, including his photograph, and found that he worked at Midnight Technologies, the same place as the victim. Interesting. Why was he at Julieta’s place?
I found a straight razor in his bathroom. Was that the murder weapon? The proof was weak at that moment, but I had a feeling that he was the killer.
I returned to Wolfe Terrace to check the security footage further. Now I had a face to look for, I checked some of the other cameras between the entrance and the apartment. I found him escaping from the building shortly after the time of murder. It was at this moment I was absolutely certain he was the killer.

I returned to Jelani’s apartment and handcuffed him. I submitted the paperwork to the city hall. It was a fairly straightforward case, but I’ll take that considering the nightmares I’ve had recently.

This Sunday is still young. Time to gather more intel. Let’s hope I don’t get shot this time.
